What is your style?

This information is important because, as designers, they are the words we use to give us context and direction in our vision. They help us know which flowers to choose and how to put them together so they will most reflect the vision our couples have for their wedding. Flowers have a unique way of setting the tone for a space and we love being able to bring that to a celebration of our couples’ love for each other.

Sometimes the bride absolutely knows her style, knows all of the right descriptive words, and knows exactly the type of wedding her floral inspiration photos encompass.

Other times, they know the pictures they like (or don’t like) but are at a loss for what to call them, or how to explain their style to others.

We are going to go through our most favorite (and most commonly sought after) styles for weddings and events in general.

Romantic

A romantic style is heavy in lush flowers, intricate details, textiles and warm lighting. Garden-like flowers create a magical, love-filled atmosphere.

Classic

Classic is timeless and elegant. It’s simple and clean with lush, petal filled flowers in a tighter shape. The weddings that take on this style are often at a hotel or a country club, places that already have that simple, timeless feel.

Whimsical

Whimsical style is just like it sounds: fun, lighthearted, doesn’t take itself too seriously, with a touch of romance. It is all about texture and flowers with curly stems or interesting faces.

Organic and Natural Wedding

Natural & Organic flowers are free flowing, greenery oriented designs that feature different textures, neutral tones and colors you’d find in nature. Nothing is “forced” or staged looking or too crowded and busy.

Rustic/Country

Think barn weddings and mason jar glasses. Rustic country living, farm inspired elements, and laid back, relaxed atmosphere.

Vintage

Get out your lace, velvet ribbons, pearl pins, feathers and antique lockets…

Vintage bouquets, often symmetrical, can be a classic choice for weddings and can suit many couples.

A vintage bouquet is made of romantic classic blooms such as peonies, roses, dahlias and calla lilies in soft pinks, peach, gold, burgundy red, sunset orange, and blush pink creating a layered, romantic, look with a historical feel

Modern

Minimalism + clean lines. Modern colors are bright whites with contrasting golds, pinks, greens, blues, subtle grays and charcoals. Elements are usually clustered together in a more dramatic way, so the differences are most stark.

Boho

Boho is marked by bright colors, textures, free form asymmetry arrangements. Bridal bouquets are often large and made of many different natural elements rich in color and texture.
